"Cheer and gymnastics is what I do and it is what I love! The kids make it all worth it.  It isn't an easy industry all of the time and it is a lot of work and commitment but it is worth it when you see a kid become confident that was once shy..or you watch a child grow in skills and in life. It is very rewarding to watch these amazing kids grow up and be a part of it.  To see them graduate and go off into the world a great person and you got to be a part of their life... it is a true blessing!"

JymeBeth Shaw

jbshaw@libertygymnasticsacademy.com

Competitive Team Coach, In-House Rec Team Head Coach, Recreational Gymnastics Coach

JB started gymnastics at the ripe age of 3.  She was a competitive gymnast up through USAG Level 8, retiring from the sport at the age of 15.  Though she was done with her competitive career, gymnastics was still very much a part of her life, as she worked in the gym throughout high school.  She also cheered on the JV and Varsity cheerleading squads at Red Oak High School.  JB coached recreational gymnastics, ages 3-14 after graduation, before completing her college degrees.  She received a degree in Sociology, as well as, a degree in Visual Arts Studies (Art Education) from the University of North Texas.  Experience in the public education school system created a great extension and springboard for her approach to teaching gymnastics.

"The world of gymnastics is rapidly changing, with more opportunities available than ever.  I feel very fortunate to be part of a gym family with such strong values, so devoted to growing and shaping these athletes, not just as gymnasts, but also as people; preparing them not just for the sport, but also for life outside gymnastics and their future.  It is my pleasure and honor to work with your children." ~ JB Shaw
